Privacy Policy

Effective date: August 13, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Six Side Painting Ltd. ("we," "us," or "our"), a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada, collects, uses, stores, and protects information in connection with the SSBC – Six Side Book Keeper application (the "App") and this website. It also explains, in particular, how the App handles business and accounting data accessed from Intuit QuickBooks Online.

1. Information We Collect

QuickBooks business and accounting data. When a QuickBooks Online company is connected to the App, the App may access business and accounting data from that QuickBooks account through Intuit’s official APIs. This may include: company information, customers and vendors, invoices and estimates, payments and transactions, chart of accounts, items and services, payroll-related records, and financial reports (such as profit and loss, balance sheet, and aging reports).

Connection credentials. The App uses Intuit’s OAuth 2.0 authorization flow to connect to QuickBooks. We receive secure access tokens issued by Intuit. We never see, collect, or store your Intuit username or password.

Contact information. If you contact us, we collect the information you provide, such as your name and email address.

2. How We Use Information

We use QuickBooks data solely to provide the App’s bookkeeping functionality, such as viewing and organizing accounting records, creating and managing invoices and estimates, generating financial reports, and automating routine bookkeeping tasks. We do not use QuickBooks data for advertising, and we do not sell or rent any personal or business data to anyone.

3. How Data Is Protected

All data transferred between the App, Intuit, and our systems is encrypted in transit using HTTPS/TLS. OAuth access tokens are stored securely, are encrypted at rest, and are never shared with third parties. Access to QuickBooks data is limited to authorized personnel of Six Side Painting Ltd. who need it to operate the App, on a need-to-know basis. We follow Intuit’s security requirements for QuickBooks integrations and only request the data scopes the App needs to function. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we protect data using commercially reasonable safeguards appropriate to its sensitivity.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent personal information or QuickBooks data. We may share data only: (a) with Intuit, as necessary to operate the QuickBooks connection; (b) with service providers who host or support our systems and who are bound by confidentiality obligations; or (c) where required by law, regulation, or valid legal process.

5. Data Retention

We retain QuickBooks data only as long as needed to provide the App’s functionality, and access tokens only while a QuickBooks connection remains active. When a connection is disconnected or the App is deauthorized, associated access tokens are invalidated, and we delete or anonymize retained QuickBooks data within a reasonable period unless we are required by law to keep it.

6. Your Choices and Rights

You may disconnect the App from QuickBooks at any time from your Intuit account (Connected Apps settings) or by contacting us; this immediately revokes the App’s access to your QuickBooks data. Subject to applicable law, including Canada’s PIPEDA and British Columbia’s PIPA, you may request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you by contacting us using the details below.

7. Third-Party Services

QuickBooks Online is operated by Intuit Inc. Data held in your QuickBooks account is also governed by Intuit’s own terms and privacy policy, which we encourage you to review. This website is hosted on Wix, whose systems may process standard visitor data (such as IP addresses and cookies) in accordance with Wix’s privacy practices.

8. Children’s Privacy

The App and this website are intended for business use and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date.
