SSBC – Six Side Book Keeper | End User License Agreement & Terms of Use

This End User License Agreement and Terms of Use (the "Agreement") governs your access to and use of the SSBC – Six Side Book Keeper application (the "App"). The App is owned and operated by Six Side Painting Ltd., a company incorporated in British Columbia, Canada ("Six Side Painting," "we," "us," or "our"). By accessing or using the App, or by connecting a QuickBooks Online account to the App, you agree to be bound by this Agreement. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

 

1. About the App

SSBC – Six Side Book Keeper is a bookkeeping assistant application that connects to Intuit QuickBooks Online in order to help manage business and accounting records, including invoices, customers, transactions, and financial reports.

 

2. License

Subject to this Agreement, Six Side Painting Ltd. grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for legitimate business bookkeeping purposes. This license does not constitute a sale of the App or of any rights in it.

 

3. Restrictions

You agree that you will not: (a) copy, modify, translate, adapt, or create derivative works of the App; (b) reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App except to the extent permitted by applicable law; (c) rent, lease, sell, sublicense, or otherwise transfer the App or your access to it; (d) use the App to violate any applicable law or regulation, or the rights of any third party; (e) use the App to access data of any QuickBooks account that you are not authorized to access; or (f) interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the App or the third-party services it connects to.

 

4. Your Account and Data

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of the credentials used to access the App and for all activity that occurs under your access. You represent that you have the authority to connect any QuickBooks Online company that you connect to the App, and that you are authorized to allow the App to access the accounting data of that company.

 

5. Third-Party Services (Intuit QuickBooks)

The App connects to QuickBooks Online, a service operated by Intuit Inc. ("Intuit"). Your use of QuickBooks Online remains governed by your agreement with Intuit, including Intuit’s own terms of service and privacy policy. Six Side Painting Ltd. is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Intuit. We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or performance of QuickBooks Online or any other third-party service. You may disconnect the App’s access to your QuickBooks data at any time through your Intuit account settings or by contacting us.

 

6. Privacy

Our collection and handling of personal information and QuickBooks business/accounting data is described in our Privacy Policy, available at https://www.sixsidepainting.com/privacy-policy. The Privacy Policy forms part of this Agreement.

 

7. Intellectual Property

The App, including its software, design, and content (excluding your data and Intuit’s services), is and remains the exclusive property of Six Side Painting Ltd. and its licensors. No rights are granted to you other than those expressly set out in this Agreement.

 

8. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. THE APP IS A BOOKKEEPING AID ONLY AND DOES NOT PROVIDE ACCOUNTING, TAX, LEGAL, OR FINANCIAL ADVICE. YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR REVIEWING THE ACCURACY OF YOUR FINANCIAL RECORDS AND FOR OBTAINING PROFESSIONAL ADVICE WHERE APPROPRIATE.

 

9. Limitation of Liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, SIX SIDE PAINTING LTD. WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR FOR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF THE APP. IN NO EVENT WILL OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY UNDER THIS AGREEMENT EXCEED ONE HUNDRED CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $100). SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS, SO SOME OF THESE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

 

10. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Six Side Painting Ltd. and its directors, officers, and employees from any claims, damages, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from your misuse of the App or your breach of this Agreement.

 

11. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if you breach this Agreement or if we discontinue the App. Upon termination, the license granted to you ends and you must stop using the App. Sections 7 through 13 survive termination.

 

12. Changes to This Agreement

We may update this Agreement from time to time. The current version will always be posted on this page with an updated effective date. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Agreement.

 

13. Governing Law

This Agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. The courts of British Columbia will have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising from this Agreement.
